My name is NayNay Smith and I am a second year student at the University of Cincinnati. I am pursuing a major in Elementary Education. I’ve lived here in Cincinnati for almost 10 years now and love the energy in the city. I am a HUGE sports fan and have fallen in love with the UC athletics atmosphere. I am also a really big reader (my favorite book I read in 2022 was The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther). 

 

Perseverance. I plan on spending my undergraduate years here at UC learning how to persevere, no matter the circumstance. I want to do all I can to reach my goals and plan on using resources from both the Darwin T. Turner Scholars program and the University Honors Program to help me achieve these goals. 

 

I am excited to join the University Honors Program as it allows me a space to work with all kinds of people, diversifying my education to grow me into both an outstanding student and individual. Additionally, through different honors experiences I can grow skills in leadership, problem solving, networking, and more that can stick with me throughout my future career.
